The Big Short Film Festival was founded as a direct response to what we saw as an abundance of so-called “pay-to-win” festivals in the short film landscape. Championing independent and first-time filmmakers, we sought
to create an affordable filmmaking event that offers full movie screenings, networking opportunities, and access to film professionals.

Together with our Halloween showcase The Bite Size Film Festival, our biannual event has already attracted hundreds of submissions from filmmakers all over the world, garnering critical acclaim and multiple
five-star reviews.
